Er dient als Heimatflughafen und Drehkreuz der <strong>Austrian Airlines<\/strong> sowie als Basis f\u00fcr <strong>Ryanair<\/strong>, <strong>Wizz Air<\/strong> und <strong>Condor<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Der Flughafen liegt \u00fcberwiegend auf dem Gebiet der Stadt <strong>Schwechat<\/strong>, s\u00fcd\u00f6stlich von Wien, und wurde 1938 urspr\u00fcnglich als Milit\u00e4rflugplatz er\u00f6ffnet.
